Having made quite a name for himself in the first 2 games of the UEFA Euros 2024, Nico Williams has shown the world his impeccable talents. Crafty on the ball while being gifted with the speed to glide past any defender he faces, Williams’ individual prowess allows him to single handedly operate on either flank. Possessing a creative vision while also slowly improving his output, he can fix many of Barca’s offensive woes. With reports emerging that Barcelona have begun to evaluate who to acquire in the summers, his name is certainly one that is being passed around within Barcelona’s sporting department.

After achieving the crucial approval for the 1:1 rule, Barcelona can unquestionably spend every penny that they make to improve their squad. Despite showing interest in names like Luis Diaz and Dani Olmo, it seems that Nico’s impressive showings at the Euros is swaying Barcelona towards the 21 year old. Additionally with the fans pressuring club figures in the public, it seems that the club has been convinced as they have deemed Nico Williams their number 1 option.

Nico Williams’ Price Revealed

If Barcelona are to pursue their desires of signing the Spanish winger, it will come at a fair price. As revealed by Fabrizio Romano himself, Nico Williams currently has an active release clause of 58 million Euros. A price that if matched can leave Bilbao helpless provided that the Catalans are able to reach an agreement with Nico Williams himself.

With the 21 year old’s endless potential, this price could turn out to be a generational investment in what is otherwise a greatly inflated transfer market. Barcelona will probably become more active with Williams’ camp after the completion of the Euros, which is when the logistics of this transfer will truly take off.
